Description: The resolution aims to adopt appropriate measures to compel Iran to adopt resolutions 1696 (Tab 15) and 1737 (Tab 17) with the ultimate goal of constraining Iran’s development of missile-and nuclear-related technologies. The resolution reiterates concern over Iran’s refusal to adopt measures specified in the above resolutions. The resolution reaffirms that Iran must take appropriate verification and disarmament measures, and decides that states shall not export any arms-related material to Iran nor enter any financial arrangements with Iran (except for humanitarian and developmental purposes).
